Sporty's pilotshop ने इसकी जानकारी एफ.बी.आई को दी और संघीय एजेन्टों ने सितंबर में मावाद के घर की तलाशी ली..वहां उन्होंने उड़ान से संबंधित सॉफ्टवेयर और मेम्फीस हवाई अड्डे की विस्तृत जानकारी बरामद की .इसके बाद मावाद को धोखे से सामाजिक सुरक्षा नंबर प्रयोग करने के आरोप में तथा क्रेडिट कार्ड में धोखाधड़ी के मामले में आरोपी बनाया गया . यह तो पूरी तरह स्थापित तथ्य है कि मावाद के मस्तिष्क में आतंकवाद की योज़ना थी .उसके कार्य उसे पूरी तरह से मेरे नवनिर्मित बेवकूफ आतंकवादी क्लब का सदस्य बनाते हैं. उसके साथ कई अन्य सदस्य भी इसमें शामिल हैं .
